Welcome to my R-Pod
Welcome to my new, 2019 R-Pod model 180. As you will see it has a queen size bed, 2 burner cook top, sink, refrigerator that works on propane or shore power, a small dining area that converts to a third place to sleep, and, in the back, a bathroom with toilet, sink, and enclosed shower.
There is one slide out which contains the sink, cook top and refrigerator. It will open and retract on battery power or, should one run out of battery, by hooking up the unit to the truck and turning on the truck so the battery of the truck is retracting it – yes, I’ve had to do that once.
When hooked up to shore power the TV will pull in whatever channels are available and the microwave/conventional oven will also work. There is an entertainment center/radio which I’ve seldom used because I conserve battery power. The speakers work inside and/or outside the unit. The wall outlets also only work when on shore power. The air conditioner also requires shore power. Shore power is the electric hook-up sometimes available at a campsite. This unit runs on 30 amp service.
The hot water heater will work off the battery, as will the heater blower. The heater is propane powered. The awning works with the battery or a crank. There is an outside shower and a separate outside water hook-up.
It came with an outside two burner stove, just like inside. It is in the basement as I have a very good, almost new, Coleman two burner propane cook stove that takes up far, far less room so I can use the forward storage bin for electrical and leveling equipment. The water equipment (hoses, funnel, rubber gloves, and sewer hook up) is in the rear storage unit. The sewer hose goes in a compartment under the front of the unit.
Have a look. Yes, my tents and other equipment are in boxes in the bed of my truck, just in case.
