Resaca de la Palma State Park Tram Ride

The tram ride takes about an hour, sometimes longer. I’ve learned to drive the tram pretty well, including backing up to park it. It’s like a golf cart I’m told – I’ve never driven a golf cart. The gears are reversed from a standard vehicle.

Sometimes I have birders on the tram. I have learned a lot from them. Sometimes a scout troop or a group of people from Mexico and Spain.

The tram doesn’t run in the rain since it is electric. If people are quiet we see more than is in the video, I just didn’t get pictures of the wild pigs or armadillos, and other wildlife and birds. I try not to back up on the road unless we’ve already seen what people have asked me to stop for as it makes a beeping sound that often scares wildlife away.

So, enjoy the ride and come back in two weeks to learn more about the park.
